Eat Green!

So many people in the U.S., are on pills for diabetes, high cholesterol,             heart disease, and so many other things. Well what if someone told                you could change all that by simply eating a whole foods, plant-based diet? Near the beginning of the 20th century Americans ate around 120 pounds of meat product annually. In 2007 that jumped to 222 pounds. In 1913,
Americans ate 40lbs of sugar per year, in 1999 they ate over 147lbs
Dairy consumption annually was 240lbs in 1909, on 2006 in was raised
to 605lbs.. Scientists found that there is a deep connection between
consumption of calories from animal food production and cancer and
heart disease mortality. In 1960, Dr.Colin Campbell Ph.D., found in a

trip to the Philippines, that a parent in the more affluent area of the
Philippines who ate an animal based food diet, that their children were
at more risk of having liver cancer later in life. in 1971 President
Richard Nixon passed the Cancer Act of 1971. In 1978, the amount of
women with breast cancer in the U.S. was 84 times the women with breast
cancer in Kenya. Lee Fulkerson, the Writer and Director of
Forks over Knives, a recent documentary about health and eating whole food
plant-based diets,
went on a whole foods plant based diet, and found great changes without any medication or treatment. After 13 weeks on this diet he found that at first, he weighed 231lbs. after 13 weeks lost 20lbs.. Before-  pulse=92, after=60, before- cholesterol= 241, after= 154, before- LDL (low-density lipoprotien) = 157, after= 80, and before-CRP(heart inflammation level)= 6.0, after= 2.8. Another example is in 1927 through 1939 in Norway, the people were on a meat-based diet, and the rate of cardio-vascular disease was off the
charts, well not literally, but it was high, then from 1940 through
1945, when the Nazis invaded, when rationing came into play, the rate
of cardio-vascular disease plummeted. Then in 1946, when the Nazis left,
the meat came back, and the disease came back.
