Giffords Resigns

  Former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, announced in a video message on Sunday that she is resigning from congress this week. Giffords was shot in the head about a year ago, and stepped down from her seat to recover. She is resigning, so she can focus on her recovery. She is sent in her letter of resignation on Wednesday..

Voice of a Generation?

On Friday, President Obama visited the Apollo Theater in Harlem, while on a campaign fundraiser. He was acknowledging that the Reverend Al Green had preformed at the theater the previous night, when he began singing the first few bars of Green's "Let's Stay Together". The video has gotten over 2 million hits, and most definitely more to come. Watch.

Terror Cruise

   Passengers panicked when the luxury cruise ship they were traveling on started to flood.

   The boat which was carrying 4,200 passengers fell to it's side after hitting a reef off of the coast of Tuscany. It happened while most of them were eating dinner. Some passengers fell and were slightly injured. Rescue boats made trips to and from the shore with frightened passengers. Some people that didn't wait for the boats jumped off, but sadly the 200 yard swim was too much for a few of those passengers.

   As of now there are 16 people dead and 16 people that are unaccounted for, including 2 Americans. Some compared this accident to the Titanic disaster.
