Meningitis Outbreak

There are 16 deaths and 185 people are sick due to tainted steroid shots for back pain. This rare fungal meningitis affects people who's needs can't be met from off the shelf drugs. The CDC and Food and Drug Administration are working on confirming the source of the contamination which is traced to three lots of steroid injections made at a Framingham, Massachusetts pharmacy. All of the drugs made at the pharmacy, the New England Compounding Center, have been recalled.
